Singing lessons for all levels
I am a vocalist and performer with nearly twenty years of experience in singing and musical theatre. Over the past two and a half years, I’ve had the joy of teaching voice, helping students discover their unique sound and unlock their true potential. I hold an associate’s degree in Vocal Performance and a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business, which allow me to blend both the artistic and practical sides of music. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, dedication, a unique approach for each individual, and consistent growth—I believe that while talent is important, commitment and consistency are what truly help students thrive.
Singing lessons, Vocal technique, and Voice health
Background:
Since moving to Los Angeles at the age of three, Natalie proudly calls herself a native Angeleno. For the past two decades, she’s worked as a professional actress both on stage and on camera, performing at regional theaters across the country, on multiple national tours, aboard a cruise line, and even at two beloved theme parks. Along the way, Natalie has had the privilege of working with incredible artists, including A-list celebrities, and gaining a deep understanding of the live performance industry.
Natalie brings this wealth of experience—along with her formal training in college and beyond—into her teaching. Her goal is to help each student unlock their true potential by blending technique, artistry, and confidence. Natalie hopes every student leaves their lesson with fresh inspiration and a clearer vision of what their future in the performing arts can be.
Experience:
Natalie Holt MacDonald has performed both onstage and onscreen around the world, bringing her versatility and charisma to a wide range of productions. Regionally, she has appeared with 5-Star Theatricals, East West Players, The Colony Theater, The El Portal Theater, Musical Theatre West, and McCoy Rigby Entertainment.
In just the last year, Natalie performed in the Los Angeles hit Reefer Madness alongside Kristen Bell, originated a leading role in the world premiere musical One for My Baby, expanded her comedic range as “Linda” in The Wedding Singer, and returned to Musical Theatre West as the lovable “Minnie Fay” in Hello, Dolly! She has toured nationally five times as “Rudolph” in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, with appearances on dozens of local television networks, and radio programs. Additional credits include performing with Disney Cruise Line, at Disneyland, and in Austria’s Classic Music Festival. She also continues to showcase her improvisational skills at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Onscreen, Natalie has worked with major networks including ABC, Nickelodeon, and Amazon Prime. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and AGVA, she continues to hone her craft as an actress at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
What I Teach:
Natalie is a dedicated voice teacher who brings years of training, performance experience, and a deep commitment to her students’ growth to every lesson. She works with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including actors seeking to prioritize vocal health, performers looking to add singing to their skill set, and singers aiming to refine their technique and expand their repertoire.
Natalie teaches a wide range of styles—including classical, musical theatre, pop, and rock—and also offers coaching in accent reduction, voice-over technique, and vocal character development. Her top priority is helping each student sing in a healthy, sustainable way, building longevity in both their voice and their career.
In addition to technical training, Natalie guides students through audition preparation, from building a strong repertoire book and rehearsing audition cuts to making bold acting choices that bring songs to life. Several of her students have gone on to audition for regional theatre, commercials, Disney Channel animated series, Disney films, Broadway productions, and national tours.

“I’ve just started working with Natalie Holt MacDonald, and in a short period of time, she has strengthened my voice and helped me find a tone I didn’t know I had. She is patient and kind, and an expert in her field. I highly recommend her.”
~ Cameron Meyer, actor on Snowfall and Truth Be Told
“I recommend Natalie to all my students who need voice work and here’s why: she gets results! Not only is she a gifted singer herself but she can identify the specific things that each individual needs in order to improve. There’s no cookie cutter here. My students report that after just one lesson they’re already singing better, are more connected to their breathing to empower their voice, and are having fun doing it. She really cares and is devoted to each person that walks into her studio.”
~ Art Cohan, instructor and actor at Beverly Hills Playhouse
"Natalie is an amazing coach! She is knowledgeable and an amazing vocalist herself so she really speaks to you from experience. I have trained with a lot of vocal coaches, and when I first starting training with her, my voice was continually getting hoarse, but after only a few weeks of lessons, my voice is in better shape than it’s been in years! Run, don’t walk to Natalie for lessons! I highly recommend her!
~ Andrea Kelly, actor and commedienne
